A wedding cake done in contrasting layers makes a striking presentation!

Two of Hearts

This cake was two tiers of love! The fall colors of green, brown, orange, and yellow were incorporated to make it look extra festive.

Bride and Groom Pops

these adorable little bride and grooms are actually cake pops! They are decorated with white and milk chocolate and taste just as good as they look!

Flip Flop Fun

your 16th birthday is a big deal, so your cake should be just as big! The flip flop cake shown here is one of a pair, decorated in grey and red buttercream.

Home Run

when your youngest son is a Little Dodger, only a cake with the Dodgers logo will do for his birthday! This cake incorporates the logo on a baseball in the middle of the cake and decorations in Dodger blue. Happy birthday Marshall!

Rosy Outlook

a cake with large, loose roses looks so elegant for a wedding! This ivory, two tier cake is chocolate mocha cake with espresso buttercream filling. Delicious and beautiful!

Patchwork and Pillows

Little Confectionista was fortunate enough to get to make the treats for both of her friend's baby showers a while back, and each one was so much fun to make! The cupcakes incorporated the patchwork quilt theme of the baby bedding, and the cake was designed around a nature theme. Congratulations Liz and Beau on your beautiful Olivia Kate!

A Dicey Prospect

When you take a chance and roll the dice, you always hope you come up a winner. This cake is for the Gamble Angus Farm's annual cow sale--a yearly event showcasing their awesome angus cattle had to have a cake just as showy! The cake is a big dice with the Gamble logo and slogan on it, plus some cow cards to show what a winning hand they have!

Say Cheese!

This camera cake and photography teacher figurine had to be very specific. The customer wanted the figurine to have 'salt and pepper hair, a blue polo, khaki shorts, glasses, a paunch, and a lime green towel.' Also the camera had to say Canon, because the teacher hated that brand of camera. Done and done!

Cookie Cakes

Cookies are delicious, but so is a cake...so what to do when you want both? A cookie cake,  of course! These two were created for birthday parties, but they are perfect for a variety of occasions. You can have your favorite flavor of cookie and eat it too!

All Things Girlie

a baby shower cake for a little girl that incorporated a crib, blanket, blocks, booties, and all things girlie!

Baby Gender Reveal

this cake was done for a friend of Little Confectionista who wanted to have a "Gender Reveal" party. The parents don't find out the sex of the baby until they cut into the cake, which is pink or blue inside--this one was blue! Unique and fun way to find out what color to paint the nursery!

Rustic Beauty

this gorgeous cake was designed to have a 'rustic' look with the sugar paper butterflies alight on it. Marvelous!

Petal Perfect

The 'petal' design on these cakes is perfect for any occasion and looks so pretty!

Guess Whoooo?

Special requests that are fun and creative are our favorites, and this cake was no exception. Little Confectionista's friend wanted a baby shower cake with "an owl that has fat cheeks." Say no more! The owl is made of fondant atop a buttercream cake. The cupcakes are topped with fondant discs with the baby's monogram on it.

Pink and Green Sixteen

Lime green and pink are extremely popular colors these days, and the Confectionistas have made several cakes with this color scheme lately. Our most recent entry is a sweet 16 cake, complete with gerber daisies in hot pink on top and around the bottom. Cute and fun for a 16th birthday party!

Tropical Treat

The summer is upon us in full swing, and what better way to celebrate a summer bridal shower than with a beach theme cupcake? These were made for a dear friend of Little Confectionista who is getting married, ahem, MAUI'd, in Hawaii. The sand is graham cracker crumbs and the beach towel is fondant. Congrats Lindsey and Derek!

Yo Gabba Gabba!

Little Confectionista got a cake request for a 2 year old and a picture of what the cake should look like. She had no idea what the character was, but he seemed friendly enough. Turns out it is a character on Yo Gabba Gabba! So take a look and see if he looks familiar to you too!

Opposites Attract

Mama Confectionista did a stunning job on a wedding and groom's cake that were designed to complement each other with a black and white theme. The wedding cake is white buttercream with black fondant accents and the groom's cake is black chocolate buttercream with white fondant accents. What a cool way to show how opposites attract!

It's a Nice Day for a Cupcake Wedding

Cupcake weddings are gaining popularity, and they always make for a unique and interesting display! This weekend's wedding was no exception, with a giant cupcake stand and some vintage look cupcakes in orange dreamsicle with Italian meringue buttercream to go with it. The bride and groom also had a small 'cut cake' decorated with cobalt and apple green "buttons" to go with the vintage theme. Pretty and fun! Congrats Lori and Chad!

5 Tiered Elegance

The Confectionistas stayed busy this past weekend with some beautiful wedding creations! A 5 tier black and white wedding cake is adorned with several different techniques ranging from the simple to the ornate. The groom's cake is a replica of Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves! and to top it all off, the bride provided monogrammed cupcakes and cake shooters for a little variety. It was a pretty presentation with a lot of interesting elements!

Bienvenida!

When your friend calls you and says, 'I work with a gal who loves to go eat Mexican food every year for her birthday. They make her wear a fake mustache and a sombrero. Can you make a baby shower cake for her like that?" You have to say YES! So Little Confectionista put together this creation to celebrate in Spanish style! We gave the baby a fake mustache, a sombrero, and a pretty pink diaper, and added all of the 'names' that she will have.
Nina de Bienvenida!

Miami Marvelous

Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner

Nobody puts baby in the corner...and nobody can resist these cupcakes! They are iced with buttercream and topped with fondant discs decorated with edible food color marker. So fun for a birthday party, bachelorette party, or movie night!

Pikmin Party Time!

the Pikmin are video game characters that each have a unique look. They are colorful and fun and best of all, make a birthday cake really pop! These guys make any party a little brighter.

Blue Beauty

The Confectionistas have made numerous corset cakes, and we always love the color combos our friends ask us to put together. This corset was no exception! The blue and yellow looked so pretty together.

Mini-Golf

Celebrating your 1st birthday is a big deal, and when you're the littlest member of your family golf team, you should have matching cookies to help you celebrate! These cookies were made for one of Little Confectionista's littlest friends. Happy Birthday Cooper!
