It's Wedding Season!

Hello Everyone!
The Confectionistas have been hard at work making tasty wedding creations for our friends! Here's a sample of some of the delicious offerings we've created recently:

This is a favorite of brides everywhere--square stacked layers with ribbon and silk flowers. The cake is iced in buttercream and has buttercream piping with non pareil silver beads.

These bride and groom cookies have been really popular as well! We have done three different styles--the heart shape and wedding cake shape you see above, and the full size bride and groom at right. They are great for rehearsal dinner favors, reception favors, or for your bridal luncheons and showers!
Round cakes with ribbon and flowers are also very popular--here are a couple of styles we have done. The flowers on this copper and sage green accented cake are made of sugar, but real or silk flowers look pretty as well. The pattern and the beading is all done in buttercream.
This cake is a fun and whimsical version of your traditional 3 tiered round cake. It has feather plumes as part of the topper, and the ribbons around each layer. The scrollwork and icing is all done in buttercream. It also looks great in silver and black or hot pink and black!

White flowers and pearls always make an elegant presentation--this cake is iced in buttercream and accented with pearl nonpareils and fresh flowers. Gorgeous!

For brides who want something a little different and unique for their reception or luncheon, these little monogrammed cupcakes are adorable and delicious! The cupcake wrappers come in all different styles and make a very elegant presentation when styled on a tiered stand or grouped together on a table.

It's a little tough to see this cookie cake, but it's been a big hit for bridal favors as well. It's three sizes of sugar cookies iced with rolled buttercream and then stacked in a tier to resemble a wedding cake. It's a taste of heaven in a tiny package!

Lest we forget the handsome groom--we've made all kinds of crazy groom cakes. This is your basic tuxedo iced with buttercream with fondant accents. Don't take too big of a slice, the black icing doesn't make your teeth look very pretty for your pictures! :)

Of course what would a Tennessee wedding be without a TN football cake? This is a birthday cake but several brides have inquired about doing a TN themed groom's cake. This a really spirited way to show your Volunteer pride and your love for your new husband!
And then sometimes there are those grooms who don't know better and root for Bama...

For all those Steel Magnolias fans out there, this is a "bleeding armadillo" cake. The inside is red velvet so that when you cut into the armadillo, he looks like he is bleeding. It's an interesting way to celebrate your special day just like Ouisa Boudreaux!
